Sales & Account Executive – Economic Development Internet Software Company

SizeUp is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales & Account Executive to join our team and drive the sales of our cutting-edge Software as a Service (SaaS) products within the economic development and government services sector. The ideal candidate will have some experience (and enjoy) working in the economic development, chamber of commerce, and/or small business assistance professions, but would prefer to work for an innovative Internet technology company like SizeUp. We want a person with values aligned with our exciting mission to innovatively use Internet technology and powerful data to create an online platform to empower small business success. The Sales & Account Executive will be able to continue to be involved and connected to the economic development profession, but will be able to work in the growing and exciting industry of Internet technology.    

Remote Work

This position will be remote, and the Sales and Account Executive can work from anywhere. Preference will be given to applicants that can work during traditional Central Time Zone hours, although living in the Central time zone is not required.

Job Description

As a Sales and Account Executive, you will be working closely with our prospective clients. Your responsibilities include:

  • Prospect and Generate Leads
  • Product Presentation and Demonstration
  • Relationship Building
  • Sales Negotiation and Closing
  • Stay Informed About Industry and Product Trends
  • Directly Collaborate with SizeUp Team and Management 

Requirements

Qualifications: 
E

Three years of successful professional experience in economic development, small business assistance, chamber of commerce, or sales. Preferred experience includes lead generation, membership/sponsorship sales, fundraising, etc.

E

Basic understanding of the economic development profession and its challenges, as well as challenges facing small businesses and entrepreneurs.

E

Excellent communication, negotiation, writing, and interpersonal skills.

E

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

E

Familiarity with CRM software.

E

Travel is required for 10% of the time for conferences.

E

BA/BS or similar college-level education.

E

Experience with Microsoft Office or G-Suite

E

Excellent computer and remote working skills.

E

A positive attitude and approach to teamwork.

Language:
E

Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English

E

Spanish is preferred but not required.
